What do you think of the Low Traffic Neighbourhood?

Lambeth’s trial ‘Low Traffic Neighbourhood’ scheme has been in place for a few weeks now. The reaction of TARA members seems to be either positive or neutral (with some reservations about the effectiveness).

It’s been reported that the scheme is getting quite a lot of kick-back against it. Judging from the comments on the scheme’s feedback site, these seem to be mostly from people who don’t live in the triangle. The exception is people on the Mursall estate whose narrow access roads have become the new rat-runs.

Anyway, if you want to give your own feedback, there are several ways you can do so. In fact, there are several ways you should do it, not just one 😀:

1. Give your own feedback using the form on the LTN scheme’s site

This is trickier to do than it should be, so you might have to persevere a bit to figure it out. The site is at ovalltnproposals.commonplace.is/schemes/proposals/tell-us-how-the-temporary-scheme-is-affecting-you/details

2. Support other people’s comments if you agree with them

This is worth doing. Again, it’s more difficult to find than it should be.

  1. Go to: The site is at ovalltnproposals.commonplace.is/schemes/proposals/tell-us-how-the-temporary-scheme-is-affecting-you/details
  2. Click on the second ‘Menu’ button on this page (not the one at the top of the page)…
  3. … and then ‘All comments’
  4. Click on the ‘thumbs up’ icon below any comments you agree with.

3. Email your MP and let her know your thoughts on the scheme

Florence Eshamoli’s email is florence.eshalomi.mp@parliament.uk

4, Email your ward councillors
